The Iowa state tote features towns, cities, the state capitol Des Moines, as well as some of the prominent bodies of water, mountains and land in the state. What sets this state illustration apart is that I've included the state's indigenous people and the areas they first inhabited. The original tribes included the Dakota Sioux, Illinois (Illini), Ioway, Missouria, and the Otoe. Other tribes moved through the area but these are known as the original inhabitants.
