This is an amazing suit numbered demi-couture by Givenchy that epitomizes everything the eighties stood for. The fabric is absolutely stunning and it is what takes center stage on this piece. The suit is constructed from a metallic silk brocade done in a brilliant coral color with beautiful baroque medallions in a mix of green. blue and gold. It has a wonderful and strong cut with defined shoulders and a sleek cut that follows the body to just over the hips. Large, domed gold metal buttons close the jacket down the front and the jacket and cuffs have an elaborate gold cord edging. It has its original matching belt that cinches int he jacket and plays up all the other proportions. The dress underneath is sleek and sexy with a high collar and no sleeves. It is cut in a simple sheath and falls in a lean pencil cut to below the knee. If worn alone you can belt it to add that extra shape as I have shown. Really a wonderful set with hand finishes and you just cannot beat that color. Excellent, unworn condition.

Both pieces are fully lined in a high quality coral silk. The jacket closes with the gold toned metal buttons as shown and the dress closes with  back painted metal and nylon zipper.
